There is a recreation hall for hire which is large enough for approximately 40 people, it has power, fridge, two gas ovens with gas cook tops, 2 sinks, hot water, cutlery, cooking utensils, plates, cups and tea towels. There is also a large undercover BBQ area with a sink, 2 outside tables with bench style seating with shady trees.
There is potable water at both of the kitchen sinks in the recreation hall and in the BBQ area.
There are three flushing toilets and toilet paper is provided. We have removed the paper towel as people would flush it down the toilet and clog up the plumbing.
We also have a portable toilet at the Astronomical Paddock.
Outside of the fire danger season, fires are allowed in designated fire pits provided.
Firewood is available on request for $20 per bag.
There is some shelter at the BBQ area or the Bush Stone Curlew shelter in the front garden. If you hire the recreation hall that provides shelter from the weather.

There are activities at the site like frisbee (disc) golf, beach volleyball, giant chess set, walking trails, bird watching and interpretive gardens.
We do not need to know the number of people attending, you can include that when you book, if you want the facilities exclusively for a large group or a school booking then book the recreation hall.
There is plenty of space for caravans and motor homes in the large campground area, where there is space for turning around. This campground is located left of the carpark area that is in front of the recreation hall.
All of Meldanda is great for viewing the night sky but we have designated the 'Astronomical Paddock' for night viewing, it is an open paddock and has a portable toilet available for your convenience. It is located up past the recreation hall along the track, there are signs to help guide you.
There are some shower facilities, however it is only cold water.
No. Please bring your own firewood if you would like to light a fire. Collecting firewood on Meldanda is not allowed. Please note, fires are not allowed during the fire season (mid October to mid April.

The toilets near the recreation hall have a concrete section at the door entrances as does the recreation hall. Outdoors there are rough surfaces with only dirt or gravel tracks, outdoor wheelchairs seem to cope okay.
